Disabled American Tax Credits
Eligible employers can take advantage of three tax incentives for hiring persons with disabilities:
1. Disabled Access Tax Credit is a tax credit for eligible businesses that incur expenses to provide access to persons with disabilities.
2. Architectural Tax Deduction for Barrier Removal is a deduction that businesses can take for costs of removing barriers to the disabled and the elderly, such as making your facility more accessible to and usable by persons with disabilities and the elderly.
3. Work Opportunity Tax Credit this is a tax credit for businesses that hire individuals from certain targeted groups. One targeted group is vocational rehabilitation referrals, individuals who have a physical or mental disability that results in a substantial barrier to employment.
