LEGACY Frequently Asked Questions

The Legacy System FAQ has been provided to assist you with solutions for Legacy issues that our technical support staff regularly answer. In addition to this FAQ, we also have a comprehensive help center provided to guide you through the entire Legacy system. This can be viewed at http://www.employ-ability.org/legacy/help. If you cannot find your answer here or in the Legacy help section, please contact our technical support for further assistance

 




Q: How do I register as a student?

A: Registration is easy. Complete the form located at: http://www.employ-ability.org/legacy/register.asp and you will be registered as a student.




Q. Is registration free?

A: Yes




Q. What are the requirements to use Legacy as a Student?

A:
In order to use Legacy Interactive Training the following requirements MUST be adhered to (Note: Legacy will not work properly unless these requirements are met. If you are working with the assistance of Network Administrator(s), please check with them to ensure these requirements are met.):

1. You must use Internet Explorer 5.0 or greater.

2. ”Cookies" in your web browser must be enabled.
Check your Internet Explorer Help Section for information on how to enable cookies.

3. Javascript must be enabled in your internet browser. This is a default setting.

4. Make sure that "Caps Lock" is off (NOT Engaged). PASSWORDS ARE CASE SENSITIVE.

5. If your computer is behind a firewall, you need to make sure the firewall is set to accommodate traffic to and from Legacy. If you are unsure how to do this, please check with your Network Administrator or the manual that came with your firewall.

6. Make sure your operating system is fairly recent. For Windows users we recommend using at least Window’s 2000 or Windows XP. For Max users we recommend using OS 9.1 or greater. We cannot guarantee older operating systems will function with 100% compatibility. If you are forced to use an older operating system, make sure your Internet browser is Internet Explorer 5.0 or greater.



Q. I forgot my password. How do I retrieve my password?

A. To retrieve your password, click on the following link: http://www.emplo-yability.org/legacy/forgotpassword_u.asp. You will be prompted to enter the email address you originally registered with. Follow the simple directions and your password will be emailed to you.



Q. I want to change my password. How do I do this?

A. Login to Legacy with your current password at http://www.employ-ability.org/legacy/login.asp. Select ‘Edit My Information’ at the bottom of the Student Home page. Your contact information will be displayed. Next to password, select ‘change password’ and you will be able to enter a new password.



Q. I want to change my contact information. How do I do this?

A. Login with your account to Legacy at http://www.employ-ability.org/legacy/login.asp. Select ‘Edit My Information’ at the bottom of the Student Home page and you will be able to modify any contact data you wish to change.



Q. How do I enroll in a Legacy module (course)?

A. Login with your account to Legacy at http://www.employ-ability.org/legacy/login.asp. Select ‘View Available Courses’ at the bottom of the Student Home page. Select the course you wish to enroll in and click on the link provided. Read the legal/disclaimer provided. If you select accept when you are finished reading this information, you will be enrolled in the course you selected. You will re-directed to the ‘My Courses’ section of legacy where you can begin taking the course.
