LEGACY Training & Skills Certification Program
The Legacy training program was designed specifically to equip One-Stop staff and other service providers with the skills needed to provide quality workforce development services to persons with disabilities. Legacy students can complete interactive online courses via the Internet, and attend live training in practical skills application. Participants who meet minimum requirement can earn an industry-recognized certification as a Disability Services Specialist.
A foundation course addresses disability etiquette/awareness, state and federal disability law, universal access, accommodations, and assistive technology. This online course and live training is available at no cost to all One-Stop Centers and their partners throughout California. A series of additional courses focus on specific types of disability and service strategies; these online courses are offered at no cost, but some fees may apply for live training.

California Department of Rehabilitation offers a wide variety of disability-related trainings through the departments Disability Access Section (DAS). Current course offerings include:
- Access to Employment, Programs, and Services: basic overview of state and federal disability laws including rights and responsibilities of job applicants, employers and public service entities.
- Disability Awareness: interpersonal skills and awareness related to working with customers with disabilities.
- Disability Employment Law for Employers: practical applications of state and federal disability employment laws, with focus on interviewing etiquette, reasonable accommodations, and financial incentives.
- Employment Law for Californians with Disabilities: designed for supervisors and managers, provides practical applications of state and federal employment laws for job applicants and employees with disabilities.
- Employment Services and Disability Employment Law: designed for direct service providers; focuses on disability awareness, employment law, equal access to employment, job carving, and reasonable accommodations.
Physical Access Survey: overview of physical access surveys, proposed solutions to barrier removal, and knowledge of local, state, and federal resources.
- California Physical and Program Access Self-Assessment Process
Course components consist of disability awareness, program and policy assessments, overview of the physical access survey elements, how to perform an access survey, and discussion of solutions to barrier removal.
- Program Access for Customers with Disabilities
This course is an overview of federal and state laws that relate to program access for customers with disabilities as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Titles II and III, CA Government Code 11135 (as amended by Assembly Bill 677), and the Unruh Civil Rights Act.

Center on Disabilities, California State University, Northridge
CSUNs Center on Disabilities offers a variety of training programs designed for service providers and businesses to provide access to persons with disabilities:
- Assistive Technology Applications Certificate Program (A.T.A.C.P.) Includes 100 hours of instruction in assistive technology, through 52 hours of online instruction, 40 hours of live training, and an 8-hour project.
- Symposium Series on Assistive Technology: Series of advances, one and two-day training workshops that offer in-depth training on specific areas of AT.
- Customized Training: Customized workshops are available to meet the needs of individual organizations.

Employment Development Department
The California EDD website includes a Training Calendar of training sessions provided by the Workforce Investment Division, Capacity Building Unit (CBU) and also includes training sponsored by the Department of Labor/Employment and Training Administration and the California Workforce Association. Employment Training Network
The Employment Training Network (ETN) is a multi-faceted, full-service program created by the Employment Development Department (EDD) to assist in the development and implementation of effective Workforce Investment Act (WIA) programs. The ETN has on-call, qualified consultants who provide training on disability topics at little or no cost to the One-Stop center. The ETN also maintains a resource library of books, videos, manuals, brochures and CD-ROMs on a wide variety of disability topics available for loan. Disability and Business Technical Assistance Centers (DBTAC)
Regional DBTAC centers offer ADA and IT technical assistance and training to service providers and businesses. DBTAC offers a free online course: "At Your Service: Welcoming Customers with Disabilities" which provides an overview of disability etiquette, law, privacy, and accommodations, illustrated by case studies.
